What do I need to return in the mail to renew my California Driver License?

Basically, my license is about to expire pretty soon, and i tried renewing online with the Renewal I.D number (to no avail) and b phone (to no avail). So, What do i need to put in the mail to return to dmv to renew my licence? Just a check and my vehicle registration renewal notice? Thanks for answering, if you do.

If you are eligible to renew by mail, they will send you a notice and you fill out the form and send it back with a check.  You don't need a vehicle registration.  

But if you were ineligible to renew by phone, I'm guessing you're ineligible by mail too.  Remember that you can only get 2 consecutive renewals by mail in California.  After that, you're due for a new picture and you must go in person.

Plain and simple, just go to the DMV.  Renewal by mail is usually a hassle anyhow.
