What do I need to run Crysis smoothly?

I have a e-GeForce 8800 GS graphics card that comes with DirectX10 except I can't run it cause I don't have Vista, only XP so I can only run DirectX9. as well as a 2.0Ghz AMD CPU, 2.0 GB RAM

and a 80 GB Hardrive. do I just need Vista for DirectX10 so I can run it smoothly? it slows down from time to time.

Dude what you need is the super computer that the CIA uses. nothing runs that smoothly. lol
