If it's a transformer, then which kind? How heavy is it? Should I try to buy it in Europe or wait till I arrive in Sao Paulo?

If I wait and buy it in Sao Paulo, does anyone know where I could find one?

Thanks!!

  1. You need an adaptor. They are readily available. If you are in the UK,  I see them in supermarkets, Boots the Chemist etc. all the time.

If you are elsewhere in Europe, try an electrical retailer, I would have thought they would help.

Another way would be if you hired a car, you can often get chargers that work in a car, eg. the cigarette lighter holder.

  2. Depending on the region of Brazil, the mains voltage can be 110 or 220. In Sao Paulo (as well as in all Brazilian southwestern states) the voltage is 110. As the usual voltage in Europe is 220, you're better get rechargers in that voltage, or one that works both in 110 and in 220. Try also to buy connector adapters, for the Brazilian ones are different from the European. A plug good for the USA will work in Brazil as well, but you can always buy an international plug set at the airport's duty free shops, both in Europe and in Brazil.

  3. the eletricity in Brazil is 110 or 220W

I remember that when I went to England, I didn't have any trouble recharging my stuff, so I think you will be just fine.

=) If not, you can just buy and adapter when you are in Brazil at any eletric supply store or even at the aiport, I bet they have something like that.
