What do I put as my SAT score when applying to college?

I took the SAT two times. My Writing score went up the second time, but my math score dropped. When I'm applying to college, can I put the higher score for both writing and math? Or can I only use the scores from ONE of the tests?

  1. Depends on the college; some of them "superscore", meaning that they take the highest you got from each section to create a higher score. I would just put down the highest score that you've earned in one sitting, they probably won't be going off that score anyways. In most cases, you have to send your SAT scores to the college to confirm the score and they'll be able to see the scores from every sitting, so they'll superscore if they want or just pick the highest score from a single sitting.
