  1. put any shows camps or experiences ou have had. maybe school drama classes. or a community theater camp or show. anything you have done.

  2. Well since you go to a performing arts school, you should already have a lot of experience so you should put that down.

List all of the productions you have been in, any vocal training or dance classes you have taken, intensives you have studied at, workshops you have attended, etc. For your special skills, think of all the things you have learned or studied that may help you. For example, if you are very talented in a certain area of dance, put it down. For example, if you are good at tap, then you should write it down. If you have studied any martial art or are fluent in any foreign languages, write those down too! Even sports that you play should be written down because, for example, if you were to be in a production of Disney's "High School Musical", and on your resumé you wrote down that you play basketball, the directors would be more likely to hire you, because one of the major production numbers, "Get Your Head in the Game", requires basketball skills.

I wish you the best of luck, and feel free to contact me if you have any more questions!

  3. Either you lie or you don't.  It's tough acting, because sometimes you need experience to get a role, but you need roles to get experience.  Depending on your age, the director should be able to judge what you should have been able to do by this time and not hold inexperience against you if you are young.

Here are the basic contents of a beginning resume:

    name

    phone

    email

    height

    weight

    eye color

    hair color

    Theatre experience

    - plays

    - performances (other)

    Awards

    - competitions you may have won?

    Special skills

    - Dance, voice, instruments?

    - Language fluency?

    - Other

    Training

    - classes at school

    - lessons (dance? vocal? with whom?)

Dropping the names of your instructors at school or your music/dance  teachers is a plus, as directors in your town should be familiar with their work and the types of students they have produced in the past.

It's not really about putting yourself out there as experienced as much as it is putting yourself out there as GOOD.

    break a leg...

  4. Use big fancy words, state your basic information, name, age, etc.   Then give your history in acting, such as plays, acting school, etc. Then put down all organizations you have taken part in that include acting. Then state your goals, hopes and dreams. Get into detail make them begin to understand the true you. Next step Hollywood!! Good luck!
