I have been very fatigued but then I have moments where I talk peoples' heads off. Also I have become very short-fused and tend to go off for little things. I cannot stay focused long enough to even watch a movie. I will walk off and do something else. But does it get worse without treatment? It seems to be getting worse...whatever it is. Does it sound like ADD? Insight please. I am freaking out here.

  1. Your best bet is to write down all of your symptoms, when you experience them, what is going on at the time, and if you are on any medication, what it is.  Basically, keep a concise log.  Bring it with you when you see your doctor.  Lot's of people bring note and such to appts so don't feel weird about it.  It's useful information.  Then, let the doctor do the diagnosing.  Doctors generally don't appreciate patients coming in with diagnostic terms or lists of symptoms pulled from the Internet.  That just means they have the added burden of figuring out what are experienced symptoms and read symptoms.  In other words, it interferes with their job which means it interferes with your treatment.

I'm not sure that you are describing ADD.  What I do know is that ADD is a life long disorder.  It's there from childhood on.  If this is something recent or is getting noticeably worse, I'd guess something else is up.  Depression maybe???
