I have a mercruiser gen II outdrive and I am pressure checking it up to 15 psig. The pressure is leaking out the top oil passage that goes to th egimbel housing. My question is how to plug up that oil passage that is in the top housing of the alphia gen II .

  1. wet golf tees

  2. The oil communication port for the gimbal housing on board reservoir should self seal when the drive is  removed from the transom. If the drive is still on the boat: pull the drive before you pressure check it. If it is off the boat and leaks you need to replace the valve fitting on the upper.
