What do I use to re-varnish/repaint my Velux windows?

My windows are the standard pine looking ones and are losing some of their original finish

  1. do not go to any d.i.y. store for advice, they will try and sell there ownbrand products which are s**te. go to a dulux or crown decorator centre they will give the best advice. if it helps i would use oilbased eggshell varnish, first rub down with fine wire wool, then 2 coats of varnish with a good quality

    brush. i recomend a purdy monarch elite ( size 1 1/2 inch )

    p.s. 24 years as a decorator.


  2. Go to the home depot and they will recommend a quality varnish/paint for your project. There are too many to list.
