  1. wear spandex, a baggy workout shirt, kneepads, kneehighsocks, hair in a pony with a elastic headband, and if you'r buying shoes get a pair of volleyball shoes but if not wear tennis shoes

  2. Some teams have a practice uniform but if it's your first day then i would just wear like a t-shirt and shorts like sophie shorts maybe that's what i wear when i forget to wash my spandex. And don't worry about knee pads or tall socks I'm sure you'll get all that stuff the first day, or the coach will tell you to go buy them. But done worry about it it'll be fine. Good luck!

  3. What you wear is totally up to you.  you should wear what you are most comfortable in.  Most volleyball players wear spandex (you can find them online) or any pair of shorts will do, a bigger t-shirt that you can move in, knee high socks (you can find these at any sports store, soccer socks work just fine), court shoes (you can again find these at any sports store, the dont have to be specifically volleyball just court shoes and comfortable), and ankle braces (only wear these if you absolutely think you need them as your ankles will become dependent on them and will slowly weaken), and most importantly kneepads (you can find these at any sports store, however they might be kind of hard to find). However it doesnt matter what you wear so long as you are comfortable and can move around adequately. the longer you play the more you will know what you like to wear to play.  your coach will teach you how to hold your hands as that is their job.  just make sure you listen and try hard.  Good Luck and have fun!

  4. Wear tennis shoes (court shoes are best cause they grip to the floor), knee socks (black or white is subtle, until you see what everybody else has), knee pads (any sporting goods story has them, but pick a pair that are comfortable for you), spandex shorts (most girls have SHORT spandex, like ending just below the bottom of your butt), a t-shirt that ends ABOVE the end of your spandex (other wise you have no pants) (just a boy cut t-shirt, one that you won't mind sweating in), and put your hair UP!  a pony tail, maybe with a thin athletic headband to hold your little hairs back.

NOTE:**knee-socks should go under the kneepads, but not sticking out from the top.  if you have ankle guards, they should go on top of the socks.  don't tuck in your shirt all the way.  if you want it to stay down, just push some little parts down into the side of your spandex.

if you don't feel comfortable wearing spandex yet, just wear regular comfy shorts, but NOT basketball shorts.  you can't move well in anything long.

good luck on your first day!

  5. wear knee high socks, kneepads, spandex, a tee-shirt (not a graphic tee or anything, just like a camp shirt) courtshoes are a must, and any protective gear ex. active ankles, mat straps, knee braces.

  6. well what you ware is some comfortable shorts b/c your gona be running alot and ware biker shorts under neath it so when your doing excercises so they cant see up your shorts and wear your hair up b/c you will be sweating alot and ware a sleeveless shirt and ware some really good tennis shoes i wore nike air shocks to help with my jumping well good luck with everything and your practice :)

  7. 1.) Spandex

    2.) Knee Socks

    3.) Tennis Shoes

    4.) Knee Pads

    5.) Optional, Ankle Braces

    6.) A baggy tee

  8. Why don't you ask the coach or one of the other girls on the team?

  9. List

    1) T-shirt

    2) Spandex (for high school)

    3) Knee High socks

    4) Knee pads

    5) Sneakers/volleyball shoes

    good luck =D

  10. You should be wearing comfortable shorts and t-shirts.  You should also take some extra shorts and t-shirts.  Some schools may have requirements that you wear the school shorts and shirts.  You will have to change if your school is like that.  Your socks should also be comfortable and thick.  And take extra socks in case you want to change them.  You will likely be working out more than volleyball training.  Running with some distance and sprints with agility exercises with your volleyball training will make your feet hurt if you are not careful.  Knee pads are probably required by your school.

    Good luck and have fun.

  11. I am starting too in a couple of days, but I have played a lot of volleyball. All you need is a comfortable pair of spandex shorts, available at most major sports retailers, a good pair of

volleyball knee pads, I highly recommend the bubble variety, a tall pair of socks like baseball or soccer socks, and your fave baggy t-shirt, and you are good to go!

  12. hey! lol im just like you, i start also and dont have much of an idea but i think you should wear a tshirt, short shorts, pads, long socks pulled up(preferably white) and your hair pulled back in a pony tail. you should also bring a water bottle and a healthy snack good luck fellow volleyball playa!

  13. well

depending or not if you guys have a uniform or not yet.. then.. shorts [ ie spandex are good...]] then u need a t-shirt  kee pads and a waterbottle. thats just for the first day wait till she tells you what to bring she might restrict certain things so just pay attention and you will do fine trust me

    : D

  14. You wear tall white socks, kneepads, black spandex, and gym shoes.

  15. I wondered the same thing on my first day of volleyball practice i just started a month ago and tryouts are yet to come--what i would wear is spandex or shorts ( i wear my spandex up under regular gym shorts or soffes)  knee pads trust me you will need them, a t-shirt and sports bra. I usually have my hair in a messy bun or ponytail and elastic headband makes it alot easier to keep the hair out of your eyes.  i wear my court shoes with ankle socks but i am getting long socks soon, i would asdvise wearing long socks but its everyones own preference. good luck and have fun. it might be a good idea to bring extra clothes and socks in case they require you to wear certain things or colors

  16. any tee shirt and shorts

  17. Well I play club volleyball, and what I would wear would be comfortable shorts ( spandex is good ), long socks ( wiping dirt off shoes ), a shirt you can pratice in and get all sweating in, knee pads, and you can't forget your volleyball shoes.. Okay and holding your hands, it is easy when you get the hang of it. Make a fist, then wrap the other hand around, and make sure your thumbs are facing the same direction. And one more thing, be sure to be coachable, and be nice to all the other players.
