  1. Winter clothing.  And dress for captain's dinner.

  2. Better you than me!  The way to see Alaska is driving around on the paved roads.

Dress casual and reserve some formal clothing to show off at the Captains dinner.  Warm jackets for cruising around deck and when going out on over priced $x*x land excursions.

  3. If you mean because of the weather then jeans & sweater and light jacket. If you mean because of the dress code on some ships then it depends on what line you are going on. Norwegian & Princess have a more relaxed dress code and offer a buffet where jeans are allowed. No matter what anyone says Alaska or excursions are expensive. Compare them to any other place nd they are the same. Dress how and what makes you comfortable.

    Enjoy.

  4. We went twice in May. Once was sweatshirts and jeans and a rain poncho at times. the last time we went May 2006 it was HOT - in the hi 80's - and we wore just T-shirts and jeans. I assume you are asking about what to wear in the cities. The cruise ship follows the standard dress suggestions.
