What do I wear to my high school swim team tryouts???

Question

I am going to join my high school swim team and practice starts next week but I was wondering what I should wear to practice...

Bathing suit 1 piece or 2 piece??????

Swim cap????

Goggles????

You are probably going to want to wear a one piece competitive suit. There's an amazing brand by Dolphin called Uglies. They're an awesome brand.

You will defiantly need goggles for sure.

cap is your choice. But your hair creates drag and it makes you go slower. so you might want one.

Wear a one-piece suit or one of the new Speedo two-piece practice suits (just don't wear a bikini you will look ridiculous) wear either a silicone or latex swim cap and goggles (I recommend Speedo Vanquishers, that's what I and most of the swimmers on my team wear.) Good luck on the team! :)

1 piece,goggles and  a swim cap. You'll need a towel and change of clothes. Start working out . Running for endurance is best. Lift weights and abs. Good Luck.

Definatly a one piece with goggles. If your hair is short (1ft or less) then i don't think you need ot wear a swim camp.

For the suit, definatley the one piece. Remember function before fashion in a competitive environment but looking good helps you feel good and feeling good helps you perform. Many good looking one pieces on the market if you don't have one. Goggles are another must make sure you test them out before you compete. For the hair I have an honest inside gem for you. I ran into a situation where the regulations were super strict, hair could not be longer than 8 inches in total length regardless of wether you wore a cap or not. Many girls got sent crying to have their ponytails simply hacked off. Not me or my friends we figured we could braid it up and get by the regs. Worked for 11 years now.

Pick a style you like from one of these brands: Speedo, Nike, TYR or Dolfin.

Wear a swim cap, latex or silicone is fine. Something like this:

For goggles, pick a brand like Speedo, TYR, or Nike (Dolfin goggles aren't great). If you don't already own a pair and don't know what style to get, try Speedo Sengar goggles:

Because of their flexible one-piece frame they fit most faces well.

Speedo Vanquishers (http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/1131... ) are another VERY popular style and come in lots of colors, plus they're silicone so they're hypoallergenic. However, they don't fit everyone well. You should try a pair on before you buy them.
