What do I wear to traffic court?

must i dress up in like a button up shirt and dress pants with heels?

[for a speeding ticket...21 over 55mph...nothing too crazy]

  2. It is seen as disrespectful to dress down in front of a judge.  When it boils down to it, we're all human and that judge is going to judge you on more than just the evidence.  He/she will also pull from his/her instinct on how responsible a person you seem to be.

    Be very polite and respectful, and DRESS polite and respectful, and you will have a much better chance then if you walk in there in jeans.  Dressing down will make you look

    A) immature

    B) disrespectful

    C) like you don't care

    D) kind of trashy

    It NEVER hurts to look professional and responsible.

  7. best to dress up. Shows respect to the court (judge) and the cop may not show. Maybe no points on your license, if you show, dressed and be respectful. Might save you hundreds on your insurance.


  8. Dress in casual but respective clothing.  Don't go with bare midriff or anything to reveling.  Look clean and presentable, be polite to the judge or magistrate.
