I have had my 2nd interview and I sent out my thank you note right when I got home. I have a good feeling that I got the job. It will be one week on Monday and I wanted to send another letter inquiring if they had made a decision pretty much sell myself again for this position. How should I word this thank you note? I want it to strike a cord telling them that I really am interested in this position and that I would be perfect for it. How can I make one last impression?

  1. I do a lot of interviewing and almost nobody does a thank you letter or phone call.  An email is fine; just say something positive, like you appreciate the time we spent with you, you like the company or you think that the job is a challenge or fits your skillset.  Or take the opportunity to gently sell one or two of your strong points.  If you do anything you are ahead of the crowd, unless you write a terrible letter, full of errors.  That will not make a great impression.
