What do Italians do on the New Year? What festivals is there or celebrations? And where are they located?

i'm italian and i can tell you that new year's eve in italy, in whatever  city, is not different from anywhere else, it does not involve celebratnos different from others in other parts of the world: it is full of amazing fireworks and stuff like that, but since i've never been outside italy on new year's eve, i couldn't make comparisons or anything like that...

Rome had the best new years eve party i've ever been to.

There were masses out in the streets all night long.  The place was packed, a ton of restaurants, shops and bars were open.

Better than anything i've been to or seen in the states.
