  1. Jamaican women define true love the same way the rest of the world does.....

  2. My definition of true love is definately something I will NOT find in a dancehall song. It's a man who is sensitive, won't insult me and will respect me for who I am.  Who realises that I will not be his slave, and thus don't expect me to slave in the house on sunday morning while he reads his paper silently or watched cricket, or just plain b*****s at me since I have failed to provide breakfast fast enough.

My true love is someone who realises that I'm not like every other Jamaican woman, and will care for me jsut liek I'd want to care for and protect him too. There's more, but can't bother to type it out now.

  3. I think the best answer to this question is in the bible...

1 Corinthians 13...It however is not isolated to Jamaican women, its universal. There are more than 10 ingredients, and the dish of Love has been eaten EVERYWHERE...

Love suffers long and is kind;love does not envy;love does not parade itself;love is not puffed up.

does not behave rudely;does not seek its own;is not provoked;thinks no evil;does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

    Love never fails

  6. "Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.” Gilian Anderson

  8. Every woman is different. Some like to be wined and dined. Some wants the dining only. Others will settle for the wining.

I, on the other hand is described as the worst romantic partner ever, because I'm not into the romance c**p, but I will not settle for wining alone. It's really the little things that matters (like cancelling a movie date with family just cuz he knows I want to see that specific movie but wouldn't be able to make it)

For love to be true it just has to be there. How to make it last is the big question.
