Question:

What do Las Vegas Escorts really do?

I am going to Vegas for the first time in a few weeks, looking for some "fun" with girls. Do all the escorts that advertise everywhere really just "escort" you around all night?

I know prostitution is illegal, but whats the REAL story here? Can anyone tell me? Also how do I avoid getting scammed?

Any advice would be much appreciated - thanks in advance.

  1. Prostitution is legal, but only in licensed brothels. As far as escorts, just use the services in the yellow pages. They are legal, but only promise good looking women for companionship for a set price, based upon time. I know s*x occurs, that would be a private deal on the side between you and the escort. If you are not looking for s*x, you are free and clear on being legal.

  2. money talks my friend

if you a high roller all your fantasy's come true

  3. Prostitution is LEGAL in Las Vegas but nowhere else.

  4. Paleblue is WRONG....Prostitution ILLEGAL in Las Vegas and its county....

Under Nevada state law, any county with a population under 400,000, as of the last decennial census,[1] is allowed to license brothels if it so chooses.[2] As of the most recent census in 2000, only Clark County (which contains Las Vegas) had a population above 400,000.[3] Incorporated towns and cities in counties that allow prostitution may regulate the trade further or prohibit it altogether.

As of July 2004, brothels are illegal under county or municipal law in Washoe County (which contains Reno), Carson City (an independent city), Douglas County, and Lincoln County. Eureka County neither permits nor prohibits licensed brothels, and has none. The other 11 Nevada counties permit licensed brothels in certain specified areas or cities.[4]

  5. Bunny Ranch..you can pic and choose your BECK AND CALL girl..hope you don't catch nothing...eek

  6. If you must engage in said activity, the smartest thing you can do is rent a car, drive about an hour west to Pahrump (across the county line, in Nye County), and visit one of the legal brothels there.  State and county laws will ensure that you'll get everything you're looking for without the threat of being robbed, arrested, or getting a souvenir that you weren't anticipating.  (State law requires that the women working there are tested for diseases on a regular basis, and condoms are required to be used.)

The people who have stated that Las Vegas has legal prositution are, as has been already pointed out, completely wrong.  Brothels and other forms of prostitution are outlawed in Clark County by state law under Chapter 244 of Nevada Revised Statutes (linked below -- specifically, it's NRS 244.345), but not prohibited in other counties that allow it by ordinance.  Nye County is one of the counties that allows it -- and as I already noted, one can be there from Las Vegas in about an hour.

The person who mentioned the Bunny Ranch gave an example of a legal brothel located about 5 miles east of Carson City and 40 miles southeast of Reno -- about 400 miles north of Las Vegas.  Given the distance, I'm not sure that particular suggestion is of much help.
