Both are fine orators who RESPECT PEOPLE'S RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

These two qualities seem to produce a leader who has very good judgment economically and at times of war.

And don't forget the other President who had these same two qualities - JFK.

  1. Unfortunately the pursuit of happiness you are referring to is for people in other countries around the globe, not Americans. He didn't want to appear to be "taking sides", remember? That was enough for me to never consider voting for him. And to put him in the class of Lincoln and Kennedy is rediculous. He hasnt done anything that even comes close to what they achieved for America. He can talk a good talk, but we havent seen him walk

I agree those are two qualities of a good president, no i do not believe Obama posesses them. He only sounds as good as his speeches, which are written for him. He's just another puppet. And he is too concerned with other countries to serve the U.S. appropriately.

  2. Lincoln is part of american history. You don't know anything about obama. And to be honest it doesnt sound like he cares about life(abortion) Liberty(he wants to make more laws to control what you can and can not do) and the pursuit of hapiness( he doesnt support small business as he claims to, read his voting history at the senates website) He's basically a liar and a fake and hes not anything like Lincoln. About the only thing they have in common is Obama is half white.

  3. Lincoln was the first liberal republican and Eisenhower was the last,  he said `don't trust the military industrial complex`, sounds pretty liberal to me and he became a great general under the great liberal leader FDR fighting against the conservative n***s, and before that it was his cousin teddy Roosevelt who busted up those greedy monopoly's and created the great bureaucracy to fight food poisoning and quack pharmacology giants with the FDA as well as creating the national park system for tree huggers,

  4. To me, the only thing they have in common is Illinois.

You're free to believe anything else you desire.

  5. The similarities are mostly their experience before running for the presidency.  Both served in the Illinois State House, one as a State Senator, the other as a State Representative, both lost a position for Federal office (Lincoln lost a Senate race, Obama lost a House race), both then succeeded in Federal Office (Lincoln as a Representative, Obama as a Senator).  Both received law degrees. Both opposed wars based on questionable evidence (Lincoln opposed the Mexican-American war).

The point people wish to make is that neither had executive experience prior to seeking the Presidency, yet Lincoln became one of our most important Presidents.  George W. Bush had two terms as Governor of Texas, and has been a lousy President, but you won't hear the Republicans mentioning that one, will you?

  6. Oh I thought that they were both on the penny

  7. lincoln was a republican..................
