What do Lizards eat??

Question

I would like to know what small lizards eat. Like the one sin your simple backyard. I am going to observe them and feed them. I just wanted to know more about them. Also what is their habitat?

when i had them as pets we "hunted" crickets in the back yard or got them from the pet store. I bet most small insects will do.

The only lizards that you'll find in your backyard in the U.S. are in the southeast and southwestern parts of the country. They  are full time insectivores, excluding the Gila Monster, which is venomous. The Gila Monster eats bird eggs, other small reptiles, small mammals, bird chicks, and small birds.

P.S.- A Komodo  Dragon can take down  a  fully grown buffalo. Each "dragon" can grow up to ten feet long.

Komodo Dragons eat so much rotten meat that their teeth get invaded with bacteria. When they bite their prey the bacteria in the reptile's mouth kills the prey in  a matter of days. Komodo  Dragons have also been known to  posses  certain amounts of venom in their lower jaw.

it really depends on the type of lizard. some eat veggies. lettuce etc. some eat crickets, larger lizards sometimes eat eggs
