  1. Pharmaceutical engineers is really a generic term for any engineers who work in the many diverse parts of pharma / biotech.  Most "pharma engineers" are either mechanical or chemical by education, although there is a mix of all disciplines.  Career opportunities for engineers include position with / in:

    1. Equipment Manufacturers. Engineers who build equipment for the pharma industry, like tablet presses, reactors, stills, etc). Technical, project management, and sales opportunities.

    2. Consultants. Engineers who design new or renovations to existing facilites. technical (number crunchers), project management, construction management opportunities.

    3. Owner / Operators. Engineers who work for pharma manufacturers big & small.  Research, development, manufacturing, packaging, facilities operations, maintenance, capital project execution, drug discovery, compliance, regulatory support, and quality assurance are just a few of the opportunities there.
