What do Pokemon mulches do in Diamond and Pearl?

There are four different mulches for the berries in Diamond and Pearl, but what is the difference between them all?

one makes it grow faster but dry faster, one makes them grow slower, but you don't have to water it as much, one makes it so the berries stay on sooner.
