I (sometimes) get easily fatigued on the back 9 specially on sunny days that my game just drops. Liquids are usually enough to give me a 15min boost but its not enough. I dont really want to be eating while walking so what do pros like Tiger eat before each round that give them the almighty 4 hours of concentration?

  1. The pros actually eat during their round - you just don't see it because cameras are cut away.  First off, don't drink anything but water on the course, especially if it's a hot day.  Pack items in your bag that will provide good amounts of protein, which will give you the best energizing effect.  It won't be as immediate as sugar or energy drinks, but it will be more substantial.  Carry fresh fruits like apples or bananas that you can easily eat on course.  Also nuts and protein bars will benefit you as well.

  2. Energy bars, foods high in protein.

  3. Usual breakfast.... ham and eggs....   and during round, maybe some energy bar.

  4. I know that Tiger eats bananas during the round. I like to eat granola bars and/or trail mix and drink an energy drink.

  5. They eat something that gives them energy like protein and stay away from the things that make u tired like suagr and sweets. While playing during the round, they drink water and eat light snacks to keep them energized for the round.

  6. i usually just eat what i normally eat. Breakfast could be anything from cereal to eggs and bacon. Then IF i'm hungry i get a hot dog after 9.

  7. When I was playing competively, I tried to eat something every 3 holes at least even if I didn't feel hungry.  I'd stay away from soda, coffee, candy bars, hot dogs, etc. Peanut butter crackers, fruit, power bars, etc are much better.

  8. bannana

  9. You should eat during the round - bananas are a good healthy thing to have, energy bar (but it might give you just a quick sugar rush which won't last).  Drink lots of water throughout the round.  Sounds like you might need better conditioning overall to keep your strength up for 4 or 41/2 hours - not just nutritional issue.
