What do U know about living in Istanbul?

Hi guys:

1.is it possible 2 find a good job in wood market witch is paid more than 1800$ in Istanbul?

2.is it a good CT 2 immigrate 'n, start a new life there?(I'm from Iran). I'd appreciate your answers.

  1. I do not recommend you to come here. Here is expensive. It is not easy to find a job in any market. And also, Istanbul is not centre of wood market in Turkey...


  2. What do you mean with wood market? Are you a trader? A carpenter?Lumberjack?

    Istanbul is a nice city but i wouldn't recommend you to come without any savings (i don't know if Turkish government have rules about it).It's a big city and not very easy to start from zero.

  3. 1. I have so far found it very difficult to find employment I have come from the U.K. and have so far not found anything.  A good trade would help you but I am very unsure on the wood market area of employment so would have to pass on this question

    2. I am actually starting my new life here and have been here (Istanbul) for nearly four months, the previous answerer was correct you need to bring some finance with you while you are seeking work.  You should give yourself enough savings to last at least the first six months.  Are you staying with someone or renting?
