The GeForce 9600GT is a fine card - the 8800GT is also acceptable like the above poster said.

I would highly recommend the OCZ Reaper RAM - the heatsink technology allows you to get better timings and run at higher voltages.

For your power supply, don't dip under 500W. Also, be sure to get a quality brand - again, I'd recommend OCZ. You're trusting your entire computer to this unit.

That board looks fine, but to be honest I enjoy ASUS boards. I use them in all of my computers and they've never failed me thus far.

As a shameless plug to myself:

I recently built a gaming rig for my friend for $978.70. He's since fallen upon tough times and can't go through with the transaction.

I'll be attending the University of California at Berkeley in a couple of days and can't bring the computer with me. It needs to move before I do.

At this point, I just want to break even. You'd pay only for the parts + shipping/paypal fees (or whatever other form of payment you prefer).

It runs Crysis on high with no problems. WoW averages 200FPS but can hit 300.

Effectively you get my building skill and overclocking for free (OC'd to 4.0 GHz and is stable).

I suggest you spend $20 more and change the video card to 8800gt which is much better than that. The motherboard is also not good. Spend a bit more money for a brand that you can trust like asus or evga or something with good reputation.
