I'll give you a brief description of what I did on the fawn project, just the field work.

We captured white-tailed deer fawns.  This is relatively easy to do.  They can be found by walking fields.  Sometimes we had to chase them, but usually they just lay still.  So you catch a fawn.  First thing is to cover it's face.  We used kitchen towels for that.  Then we collect some measurements.  Checked the general condition.  Sexed it.  Last thing we did was attach a radio transmitter collar around it's neck.  Then we let it go.

A day later I would go back with my tracking gear and locate the fawn.  I continued doing that for about 6 months.  By the end of July we had collard 40 fawns.
