  1. ICT. If you need to study it further it is the easiest subject to get at home or night study class in. Good luck with your career.

  2. ICT and Business Studies is a h**l of a lot of coursework!

I have done both this year and i don't recommend to mix them together. You should do one easy subject as well that you will enjoy such as photography.

  3. You dont have to drop an A-level at A2. It will only be half an A-level then if you only do AS.

But i think your choices are excellently suited for Accounting.

I wish you all the best.

  4. those sound really good for you if you want to be an accountant! personally, i think that at A2 you should drop Maths - because you should learn all the relevant formulas and stuff in Accounting anyway...

  5. They are all very good choices for a future career in accountancy.  If you have to drop one (which you may not have to if you get good enough grades and can work hard enough to do them all at A2), then I would recommend dropping ICT.

  6. I would drop business studies personally and possibly pick up an english qualification as there is a lot of administration and letter writing in accountancy too.

  7. Its a good combination. Go to UCAS website and find a course to check that you are doing the required subjects for Accounting although it sounds good to me. If you do really well in them then you dont have to drop one. As uni's only require 3 A-levels if you look on the website they will say which you need full A-Levels in so this can help you or e-mail them and ask which they suggest you drop, they'll be happy to help.

  8. I haven't got a clue. I've only just picked my GCSE lessons for next year in Yr 10. I also have the chance to go to college once a week and studie public services as part of a school links programme. Sorry I don't know your question. I just thought you ought to know

  9. yeah I would say drop Business studies its too much of a Broad subject

  10. If you're 100% sure that you want to become an accountant then those are fine.  A science to go with the maths would've given you more options but, as I say, if you're 100% sure about being an accountant then the ones you're doing are fine.

Personally I would drop Business Studies.

Edit - I can't believe a teacher is telling you to drop maths.  Maths is one of the best A levels you could possibly have - find me a universe that doesn't involve maths?

  11. The choices you have picked are a great combination. If I was you I would drop the subject that you aren't doing as well in so that you definitely get the grades you need. If I had to pick one though I would say drop maths...simply because you have the accounting a-level so you do not necessarily need maths. I would stick with the ICT and business incase you change your mind about what you want to do...as business covers a wide variety of topics, and you will study finance anyway, which will help you in accountancy.

  12. Hello, you're doing pretty much the same as i did and i am now going into second year of accounting at Uni.I did Math, Accounts and ICT no business studies. I dropped maths as i was useless at it. You shouldnt think about what you are dropping now, and it may sound strange but it doesnt really matter what A levels you have to do Accounts at Uni. A background is nice but they go over everything you need to know on the degree course so you will be repeating it all in the foundation year, however, this may be why i did so well (average 1st), but i did do Chemestry, Geography and Psychology as well in AS/A2. You can see which subject you like least at the end of AS to know which to drop, just enjoy them now. You could swap one of them for a different type of subject (Psychology, Sports Studies) so that you have a variety incase you decide accounting is boring or difficult and to show the university you have a range of skills/hobbies. At the end of the day do what you want to do, you have 3/4 years of Accounting subjects to study at Uni plus any specialisation (ie Audit) without your next 2 years being the same boring stuff.  Good Luck!!

  13. You could drop ICT but its needed to do accounting. The subjects you`ve chosen are perfect for your career.
