  1. its fantastic for the game.it broadens out.

  2. Jim Stynes,need I say more?

  3. I THINK ....if they can play Aussie Rules and are competent, like Stynes Wight, Kennelly O'halfpin and then Clarke at Collingwood this year bring em on, why wouldn't you think that .   Its just good none have found there way to becoming BOMBERS!

  4. I think the Irish guys are fantastic players.

They come from pretty tough blood over there, the more the merrier, if they can play, bring em over :)))

  5. i think its great for our game as it adds that overseas factor and gives the Irish lads a chance to play as a professional and earn the big dollars-plus they do bring their own flair

i do feel bad for th Gaelic league, nobody wants to see their best players poached by another sport,i know id hate it if there was another sport taking players in the AFL like Chris Judd,j brown, bartell etc.

  6. Most Clubs do some sort pf scouting in Ireland now. If it means getting a good young player at Hawthorn, and as Jim Stynes proved ... you don't have to be an Aussie to be a great player.

Any team would be happy to get a good young player for 10 years

  7. The WCE are currently in South Africa. They have been staying at Zulu villages & sleeping on straw mats etc (a bit like an away match in Melbourne for them) ; traing on their sports grounds; having clinics for the kids & whatnot.

Coach John Worsfold was interviewed on TV & he reckons there is natural talent in that country, with the black kids, that have the skills to play AFL football.

Personally I hope the Eagles don't go for recruiting the Irish players - only the odd exception makes it big time. I've no idea how the Africans would go.

  8. i think we should bring back international rules...

its the only chance u get to see chris johnson king hit an irishman

  9. I think that Clarke from collingwood will be really good, he seems to have adjusted the quickest of them all.

Stynes was a handy player without being brilliant, i know he won the brownlow but that is umpires votes, not taking anything away from him, he was very good.

Kennelly at the Swans would walk into any AFL side, great running player, carries the ball and generally does something with it.

The Carlton bloke, o'halpin, don't really know enough about him, think he's just learning and plugging away.

Does the asker know of anymore in the wings waiting to have a go.

  10. Bring the game to the world its fantastic.at least now the Irish players are paid to play Afl.I dont think they get payed in Ireland
