I want to know whether diet coke or pepsi and alcoholic drinks other than rum drinks are included in the all inclusive price, when a place says unlimited local beverages.

  1. All types of beverages or drinks made in that island.

For example  an inclusive resort in DR.

Local brand name: Presidente, Bohemia, Brahma, Brugal, Barcelo, Bermudez, (Coke and Pepsi because are made  they are is an international trademarks) Dasani etc.

International Brand name: Miller, Budweiser, Heineken, corona, Bacardi, Tanqueray, Absoulut, Gatorade, V8 etc

  2. Yes, coke or pepsi are included and rum drinks also, but made with local brands.  Example:  if you visit Dominican Republic you can have a rum punch with Barcelo instead of Bacardi or another well known brand.  You can have a local beer instead of Budweiser, Coors, etc.  Before you order a drink make sure they have a local substitute.  Don't expect an Amaretto or Midori Sour, but may be an almond or melon sour will be available.  And yes, is unlimited.

  3. a local beverage can also mean a juice that it made from local fruits. For example: passion fruit juice, or tamarind juice, soursop juice, peanut punch. Those are often considered "local beverages"
