What do Asia, Africa, Antarctica, North America, Australia, South America, and South America all have in common?

Is it that they are the largest landmasses on Earth?

I'm not quite sure.

Thanks bunches!

  1. You forgot Europe.

If you call North and South America "America" then all start and end with a vowel.

All do end with a vowel, but don't start with one when including "north" and "south" for the American landmasses.

  2. They are all continents. (Thank you Capt. Obvious!)

    They all have continental crust.

They are all mostly above sea level.

In some ways they all have deserts (disputably Bledowska and Tabernas in Europe, by climatic definition of <10" rainfall in Antarctica).

They are all large continuous land masses.

If you count the proposed seasonal stream system seperating Europe and Asia or count them as Eurasia they are all be 100% surrounded by water.

As of right now they all have human inhabitants at least part-time and year round animal inhabitiants.

i think they all have rivers. Not 100% sure on Antarctica.

    They all have a coastline.

No they are not the largest land masses. Technically that would be the Pacific Ocean. But many consider an ocean a feature but not a land mass so that's a matter of definition.

  3. The letter 'A', and as above, if you ignore North and South, they all begin and end in the letter 'A'.

  4. if you are asking why are all the continents actually continents? it's to do with land mass. what they have in common - deserts.
