What do all these metaphors mean and why/how are they proven to be true. Please help, esp. the first metaphor.

  1. These are adages which are proverbs made familiar by long use. A. proverbis a short, memorable saying that coveys an important fact or experience and is accepted as a  truth by many people.

    A metaphor is a literary device that describes one thing as if it were another.

    1.Laughter's the best medicine - Maintaining a sense of humor is essential to good health.

    2. Right side of the facial feature is different from left side. Because we sleep on one side or the other,  the facial contours of each side are slightly different.

    3. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Eating a diet that includes fiber and roughage is healthful and helps you avoid problems with digestion and elimination..


  2. 1. When you laugh it makes you feel better, even better than taking medicine.

    If laughing was the most helpful thing to make someone feel better, then this would be proved true.
