What do answerers think of TV Week ignoring Before the Game for the Logies?

With Internet Voting, the Logies are limited to what TV Week thinks are the best shows. In the Sports area, Before the Game has been omitted, with TV Week saying that ratings aren't high enough.

BTG is the ONLY TV AFL show that doesn't send me out to the kitchen for another cuppa/coldie/anti-nausea pill. The subjects are varied, there is enough serious comment to educate and enough funny stuff to entertain, and the panel look as though they're still breathing, they're not ex-has beens!.

Anyone else agree?

Better show than the Footy show, I refuse to watch that show, have for a few years now tired and dated.

I think the answer lies in your statement above - the show may be great but if it doesnt attract enough viewers/rating then of course they are going to omit it.

I personally think The Footy Show is superior as far as entertainment value, but BTG provides great insight and comments but can become a bit too serious and boring at times.

I tottaly agree. It has become far superior to the footy show which has become repatitive and his hitstandrds so low that i dint think posible while eddie was oin charge. back then i thought it was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I agree with you 100%. Always good for a laugh, and some serious stuff too. Peter Helliar is a very funny man, and I reckon thats one of the best shows on telly. It should win the gold Logie!

Edit - Arsenal yes the footy show is cringe-worthy, havent watched it for ages.

Thats like the only thing I watched for footy stuff!! It was funny as. Although I kept on missing it cos I used to forget when it was on, and channel 10 wasnt showing its TV guide on Foxtel then.

I hate the footy show. It sucks

they have to protect their pathetic commentary show and broadcasts....Channel 7 are linked to TV week.

Also Peter Hellier and friends poke fun at what Ch 7 sees as serious because it is big bucks. the fact that you can take the mickey out of something and still make millions out of it is beyond their understanding - but Monty Python did that for years....

I agree livelyblue, it is the best footy show on TV.
