What do artist wear??

Im doing a project and the teacher said that everyone needs to wear something that is related to what projects is about. And i choose artist, and she said i need to dress like a artist, and i have no clue what they wear. HELP!!!

there are all different types of artists. you'd be safe dressing very fashionably or even just colourfully, maybe with draping clothing and scarves. just dress fun!!!

Blue jeans with holes in the knees, plain white T-shirt, and an unbuttoned flannel shirt.

I am an artist, but I create cabinets instead of paintings.

My ex-roommate is a portrait artist & muralist, and his wardrobe mostly consists of old t-shirts and faded jeans, both of which are covered in copious amounts of paints.

To replicate the look, just wear old clothes, get out a set of paints, and smear yourself with them as if you were using the clothes to clean paintbrushes.

Or you could simply wear an artist's smock...

Take an old pair of jeans and T-shirt, put some cuts in the jeans and fray them, then lay both items out on newspaper, and pour/splatter/drip a bunch of different colors of paint all over it. Wear them when they're dry.

If you're a girl, stick a small paintbrush in a ponytail, smudge some paint all over your hands, arms, and face, and even in your hair, if you don't mind washing it out.
