You will cease to exist. You will be unaware of anything because you and your ability to sense anything including the passage of time will not operate. Your body will be just so much dead flesh that will rot away and there isn't a non-corporeal soul or any other chi or whatever to exist after you die.

Atheism is not a belief it's a disbelief. Atheist tend to believe that humans simply cease to exist. Some such as myself believe in artificial intelligence

Your mind is electrical impulses in your brain. When you die, the impulses stop. It's not a belief, it's been scientifically proven. And, sorry, but I must inform you that a "soul" is just part of your mind.

actually, its impossible to say. To be atheist is simply to not believe in God or Gods. If they believe in an afterlife for watever reason they choose, thats a choice they make. It's just uncommon because usually an atheist will apply the logic they used to get to "no God" to the whole "no afterlife" thing.

We lose consciousness and our bodies rot and decompose. The closest analogy to describe the way I imagine this feeling (well, unfeeling, to be technical), I can think of is of that before birth or when in a deep coma.

This is, of course, a generalized view based on my own opinions and those I have observed in a majority of fellow atheists. However, there are some religious and spiritual atheists who believe in afterlife.

The only uniformity to be found in atheism is an ignorance/lack of belief in deities.

I think I will lose consciousness, and dying will be like going into a dreamless sleep. I will not think, or feel, because there will be no "I" anymore. I will cease to exist.

I am defined and noticed by my body. As for what happens to it, after the useful organs are removed and transplanted into those who need them, I hope my loved ones bury my remains without embalming them or placing them in an expensive coffin. I want nothing to prevent the decomposition of my body, so that the useful chemical components can return to the cycle of life as quickly as possible.
