I have a baby duck that I found. It's motherless and I am unsure if I am to let it go or just keep it and feed it. Do they need water? Do they need to be IN water? Please! I don't want my little chick to die!!!

  1. You can buy 'chick starter' at your local feed store. You need to provide the duck with drinking water and change it quite often, as it will eat the feed, and then drink and quickly get the drinking water quite full of food as it swishes its bill out. You can find small feed holders and water holders at the feed store too, not very expensive. Your duck is going to do a lot of eating, drinking and pooping, so you will need to have it in a box or something, with plenty of newspaper to serve as liners that you can dispose of easily and ofte.
