Like wheen the courses come together to offer a special package so you can play all of them with the membership?

  1. It depends on where the courses are what they call them.  Some are "trail passes" or sometimes it is a golf club that uses a number of courses.  The traditional term for allowing members or a private club to play at another private club is "reciprocation".


  2. In a private club sense it's a reciprocating membership. Example, you belong to club A, but play Club B and they just take your number from club A and charge you. in a public sense it's likely a coupon book situation which generally is for charity.

  4. In San Diego, you can purchase a Resident card and play at a really high discounted rate at Torrey Pines and Balboa just to name a couple. It's a $25 fee and basically you get the discounted Resident rate at any course offering resident rates.

  5. In my area it's mostly the public courses that participate in those types of memberships. We refer to them as reciprocal agreement memberships. It allows you to play select, participating golf courses wherein the green fee is waived but you must pay the cart fee.
