  1. Calories are a unit of energy.  They are not a physical substance that can be seen.  The definition of a calorie is the energy needed to rise the temperature of one gram of water one degree Celsius or about 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

Normally we only think of food as having calories, but anything that can burn has calories.  For example one gallon of gasoline has 31,000,000 calories.

  2. Calories are a unit of measure. It's like asking "What does a millimeter look like under a microscope?".

  3. You can't see calories under a microscope.  The concept of calories is used to determine the amount of heat given off of a given reaction.  Calories are not something that can be seen unless you think about them in the form of heat which would excite molecules.  So if you want to think about it in terms of air for example, calories would excite the air and thus you would see waves, just like on a highway when it's really hot.  Otherwise, no, you cannot look at calories under a microscope.

  4. Calorie is unit  for measuring energy and it can not be seen.

  5. calories cant be seen
