  1. hummus is good.   I make it quite frequently

Chick peas do not have a strong flavor of their own.   I like to saute chick peas in a little bit of olive oil while tossing them with my favorite spice blend du jour.   Fajita, Greek, Chile powder and curry powder are all good choices.  Add a little salt and pepper too

  2. They taste slightly nutty. It's pretty hard not to like them, they don't have a strong flavour.

  3. slightly sweet and they have a solid, "meaty" texture

  4. They taste kind of bland.  I like the hummas that you can get at the grocery store already made.  I can't remember the brand name, but it comes in different flavors such as roasted red pepper and garlic.

  5. i don't like chickpeas but legumes is ok for me

  6. To me they taste sort of like a just-mowed lawn smells, but very mild; I don't like the taste at all. But I love hummus. I'd suggest trying some store-bought hummus and looking for recipes on the web that have similar stuff. But don't give up too soon; I've have very boring hummus from some places. Luckily there is a market near me that makes their own from a family recipe with lots of tahini (ground sesame seeds), and another store that adds some basil, garlic, and pine nuts. It doesn't have to be fancy to be good, though.

  7. I love hummus, but I don't really like to eat chickpeas by themselves.  They have kind of a starchy/mealy texture that is negated by the olive oil in hummus.

  8. They don't have very much flavor - just a slightly nutty flavor.  You can eat them in salads too
