Question:

What do citizens of the US state of New Mexico call themselves?

I guess the obvious would be "New Mexicans" but I'm looking for someone that actually lives there for clarification and wondering if there is a stigma on the term "New Mexican"

  1. It is actually pretty confusing to say 'New Mexican'. I have a few friends from New Mexico and that is all they say, just that they are from New Mexico.
