i really want to know what my dance teacher is looking for in me to know that I am ready for pointe.

  1. Strength in your ankles calves and feet, a good turn out and a good arch when your feet are pointed.


  2. teachers look at the arch of your pointed foot when you are in a flat shoe. they also look at the strenght of you ankles when doing releves and escappes. they also look at you balance on and off the bar. to prepare for pointe you should excercise your ankles everyday. this will help greatly when you start pointe! good luck!
