What do deaf people do when ?

a new invention comes out.. you know like the ipod? how do they know what to call it? or w/e does the ipod compony come up with it or do they have to make their own sign..?

i get confused reading this but if you understand what im asking please answer! :D

Deaf people are not stupid you know!!  The hearing and the deaf all have limitations and strengths.

How do YOU know when a new word is made?  Someone tells it to you.  Hearing and deaf people find out the same way about new anything...someone else tells them!!  Either by signing or by speaking.

Not hard to figure out.

Remember, deaf people have interpreters (usually) and they go shopping just like normal people. They will eventually know what it is called. Someone may finger spell it to them. Finger spelling is the alphabet in sign language. If the deaf person didn't know what the iPod (or whatever) was when they saw it finger spelled the other person may respond: It is a new music device/player.

Remember, they are normally people and use internet to. Think of how many ads you see for like a free iPod...

They read it.  They're deaf, not illiterate.  If you're asking how do they sign it, sometimes they combine words, sometimes they just spell it out, some things will eventually get their own sign, not sure how that comes about, but i know there are signs for computer.  I think this is how you can have several signs for the same thing.

Deaf people make up their own signs for these things. Sometimes, the signs vary depending on where you are from, but after a while, really famous inventions get a specific sign that is pretty much nationally known.

it is not like they are inventing a new word.. the word or letter I and the word pod are not new to the english language ..

Sometimes they spell out things (I am not deaf, but I know some sign language interpreters).  Other times, new signs are invented.
