  1. If you can't go back down to free the anchor, your best option is to tie a bouy to the top of the anchor rope and come back for it at a later stage. Don't forget to mark the spot with your GPS.


  2. The boat anchor?  If an anchor gets caught on something, Captains cut anchor and buy another one.  Don't know about any other types of anchors.

  3. If they have the gas, the time, the inclination to and can do the dive to where it may be on the bottom, we'll get it. Chances are, that's not going to happen. If you've already set the hook and lost it, you were likely leaving the dive site at the time and chances are...you don't have the gas to go get it unless you plan on aborting the next dive (if you planned two), if you brought extra cylinders. That being the case, you'll just have to come back later for it.
