What do dogmatic and pertinent mean?

    characterized by assertion of unproved or unprovable principles

    pertinent

      having precise or logical relevance to the matter at hand; "a list of articles pertinent to the discussion"; "remarks that were to the point"  


  2. dogmatic- concerning principles, or an individuals  beliefs... example: peace is part of the buddhist dogma.

    Pertinent- it is significant to the current situation

  3. If something is pertinent then its relevant or important to the matter at hand.

    ex. The information is pertinent because it helped me solve the answer

    If someone is dogmatic then they are very opinionated about their particular dogma (or set of values)

    ex.  I don't like to tak to Jim because he is very dogmatic and throws his religion in my face all the time.
