What do dragon flies eat?????

we (me and my family) found this dragon flie in the pool and it was still alive and we all felt bad. so i scooped it up with the skimmer and put him on a leaf.

Now we r gunna get a bug cage and nurse him back to health but idk wat they eat so he will starve if no1 answers this!!!!!!!!

Dragonflies eat mosquitoes, midges, aphids, worms, smaller dragonflies and mayflies.  If your dragonfly is seriously ill, put him in a warm, sunny place in his bug cage and crush the  bugs that you feed him. If he is sick, but not urgently, he would probably prefer his bugs alive so he can catch them. You should probably disable the feeder bug slightly, so it's easier for your dragonfly to catch.

P.S.This morning, I was just catching some dragonflies!!! Also, some dragonflies only live for 24 hours so brace yourself :-(

Adult dragonflies mostly eat other flying insects, particularly midges and mosquitoes. They also will take butterflies, moths and smaller dragonflies. The larvae, which live in water, eat almost any living thing smaller than themselves. Larger dragonfly larvae sometimes eat small fish or fry. Usually they eat bloodworms or other aquatic insect larvae.

A yes, the Dragon Fly is my best friend.  He eats those nasty "No see 'ums" that seem to like my blood too much.  The Dragon is a voracious hunter and a boon to mankind.
