  1. well dreams are a  chain of thoughts which involve sometimes personal thoughts and memories. dreams sometimes are normally difficult to remember although some can be if you are lucky enough to remember a dream and you want to find out what it means go to the website at the bottom of the page and type in a key word

e.g if you dreamed about going to a haunted house with witches a graveyard

type in graveyard or haunted house and it gives you the meaning of the dream

    here is the web address:www.dreammoods.com

    hope this helps x

  2. I think it depends- sometimes i believe that you mind is trying to tell you something- for example- hearing a phone ring in your dream & not being able to answer it or hear someone tends to mean your concerned about communication... when i dream of losing my teeth, i know it means i feel that i've lost something important to me, & i need to mediate on what it is to calm my thoughts down.

Sometimes i believe dreams can be premonitions... not always... just sometimes.

And sometimes i believe it has just to do with what you were watching on tv... or the food you ate before you went to bed.

  3. Dreams have been here as long as mankind.  Back in the Roman Era, striking and significant dreams were submitted to the Senate for analysis and interpretation.

Everybody dreams. EVERYBODY! Simply because you do not remember your dream does not mean that you do not dream.

Dreams are indispensable.  A lack of dream activity can mean protein deficiency or a personality disorder.

Five minutes after the end of the dream, half the content is forgotten. After ten minutes, 90% is lost.

Studies have shown that our brain waves are more active when we are dreaming than when we are awake.

People who are giving up smoking have longer and more intense dreams.

Dreams is defined in Webster's Dictionary as a "sequence of sensations, images, thoughts, etc., passing through a sleeping person's mind" . Dreams have been a topic of study dating back to 4000 B.C.  One may say that dreams have been around as long as the first civilization came to be and are just a normal part of human existence.

In our dreams, we can go anywhere, we can be anybody, and we can do anything.  When we dream, we are like passengers on a moving train, unable to control our actions and choose surroundings.  We let our mind take over.   Sometimes, dreams can be understood in the the context of repressed thoughts. Dreaming serves as an outlet for those thoughts and impulses we repress during the day. When we go to sleep at night and slip into our dream state, we feel liberated and behave and act in a manner that we do not allow ourselves in our waking life. Dreams can help us find solutions to our daily problems and see things from a different perspective.

  4. There is no proven fact on why we dream, which is why there are so many theories on the topic.  There is Freud's theory that dreams carry our hidden desires and there is Jung's theory that dreams carry meaning, although not always of desire, and that these dreams can be interpreted by the dreamer.  After these theories, others continued such as the Cayce theory in that dreams are our bodies means of building up of the mental, spiritual and physical well-being.  Finally came the argument between Evans' theory and the Crick and Mitchinson theory.  Evans states that dreaming is our bodies way of storing the vast array of information gained during the day, whereas Crick and Mitchinson say that this information is being dumped rather than stored.  Whichever theory is true, we may never know, but from these following theories we can decide for ourselves what we believe to be true and further help us into understanding our dreams.

    Good Luck!

  5. They are a sign of YOU. I believe dreams always say something about you as an individual. I don't believe in "prophetic dreams"...where people feel they've just seen a sign of the future or actual events. Dreams are the product of the human brain activity....product of your memories...product of your subconscious wants/desires..............Dreams can be a useful tool for self-discovery.
