Question:

What do earwigs do? and can they really go inside someone's ear?

earlier today i was watching t.v. in my living room , and all of a sudden i felt my ear kind of ich (like if something was in it)

after a couple of minutes i got up from where i was laying down at, i looked at the pillow i was laying down at.....

i got so freaked when i saw a darkish looking earwig!!!

i got up so fast and was freaked out but went to look at my ear.

ever sence then my ear has been watery.

is that bad???

  1. The name originates from the superstition that earwigs crawl into the ears of sleeping persons and bore into the brain. Although earwigs appear somewhat dangerous due to their forceps, they are practically harmless to man.

    Earwigs. They normally do NOT crawl into people's ears.

    WINGS: 4 - Front pair is short and leathery (no veins), which meet in a straight line in the middle. Hind wings are membranous and hidden underneath the forewings when folded.

    Earwigs are nocturnal and hide during the day in dark places, such as in between newspapers, in cushions on patio furniture, under patio pots etc.
