  1. Obviously depends on a lot of things, but 40k to 80k is typical to start.  It probably levels off at about 100k.  I know several EE's that took just sightly different career paths (still electrical) and make close to 300k a year.

    For the big bucks just do the following:

    1. Work for a good company

    2. Do something you like.

    3. Work hard at it.

    4. Don't be a jerk (being a jerk gets you to the mid-level faster, but no farther)
