  1. It kicks up your adrenaline so much that it can overpower your nerve endings. You'll soon have no control over your new-found energy. Your heart will speed up at an alarming rate, and if you drink too much Monster or Red Bull, it can even kill you.

But that is still pretty rare.

  2. They make my heart beat faster and my chest hurt sometimes. I only drink them as a last resort if I have to pull an all nighter, which is only about 2-4 times a year.

  3. why dont you find out

  4. They aren't good for anyone.  They are full of c**p, they only give you energy in the short run too.  Your better with water hydratation or tea (even coffee) for the caffiene kick if that's what your into.

Sometimes if they are cheap I'll have them when cycling for a quick blast.

  5. i heard red bull gives you wings =)

  6. They rob you when you sleep at night.... lol..jk

Why dont you read this from the Boston Globe

  7. I'm Not Blaming Energy Drinks But My prom Was 2 Weeks Ago And i Drunk 3 Cans Of Red Bull And Ate A Packet Og Lucozade Energy/Glucose Tablets, And Inhaled Alot Of Helium From The Balloons! My head Was Spinning I Could'nt Sleep For The Following 2 Nights And my Voice Was Very high! But I Can Tell You That It Was The Most Amount Of Fun I Had At A Dance!

  8. Energy drinks were not desgined for kids and the makers recommend to not give them to kids. They definately say this for 12 and uder but really leave the teens in a shady area.

The real problems result in drink too many. A Monster is 2 servings in one can yet people drink as many cans of that as others drink of the smaller ones. Even then most people still consume too many. Red Bull recommends only having 1 to 2 a day. Even the 2nd largest selling, which is also the 1st and largest healthy energy drink, XS Energy, suggests only having 1 and no more than 2 a day.

What they do: Energy drinks provide a boost of energy. Depending on the person and what is in them it can last for about 30 minute to 6 hours. They use many stimulants. The regular ones use sugar, caffeine, Taurine, B vitamins, Guarana, ginseng and others in lesser quantity and less known names.

    The bad things about it:

SHORT TERM:  The sugar can make you jittery and makes you crash. The caffeine dehydrates us. This can intensify the crash because when dehydrated we become tired. All of the stimulants increase your motabolism and heart rate. Depending on the person, how much this does it, and how much they consume it can be a problem, but usually it is not.

LONG TERM:  The long term effects are from consuming too many. In moderation and used as intended there is no long term. The maximum safe level of cafeine we can have a day is 300mg. Energy drinks have 80mg per serving. Regular use of excess caffeine can lead to sleeping problems, stress problems, kidney problems, heart problems, and other organs too.

REGULAR ENERGY DRINKS:  As mentioned the sugar makes us crash and gives a bunch of calories.  Caffeine depletes our bodies of B vitamins. Regular energy drinks put in only a little more than what is removed so the B vitamins in them aren't very effective.

HEALTHY ENERGY DRINKS: These don't use sugar so you don't get a crash and have far fewer calories. They also put in a whole lot more B vitamins. Since B vitamins are essential for energy and caffeine removes some it only makes sense to put in a lot. They are water soluable so they won't harm us.

All energy drinks need to be consumed with water to offset the caffeine in them. Especially the 5 Hour shots and Stacker's 6 Hour Power becasue there is hardly any water in them. Even though the above 2 are healthy ones I put them at the bottom of healthy ones because of the lack of water. Plus I understand they taste very nasty.

The only ones I recommend are XS Energy. They are healthy and are drinks not shots. They aslo taste better than even store bought ones. They have 13 varieties, 3 of which are even caffeine free. They also have a 100% guarantee. How can you beat this. Ask me for them.

  10. Well, you start drinking energy drinks a lot lets say three a day then lol it seems like the other person never blinks, you are constantly moving something like your fingers or tapping your feet, and after a while it is really going to start hurting your stomache, then i really dont know if this is true but you get something on your heart? I think i read that somewhere and it is really bad...

  11. Well different people react different ways to energy drinks. Some people simply cannot handle the amount of caffeine the drinks put in your system. If you're only 13, don't drink too many energy drinks. I'd slow don't on the caffeine if I were you, you don't wanna be a caffeine addict at 13. You've got the whole rest of your life for that. I'd try and energy drink with more natural ingredients if I were you. I found a cool one at http://www.voernix.com/2008/07/frs.html. And they even give you free samples. They work great for me.

    Good luck!

  12. the only one i can stand personally is Monster M-80 but it really don't give me anymore energy and it makes me have to work out extra to get rid of all those un-needed and un-necessary calories and other junk!

  13. I hear they put strain on ur heart and other organs if you drink too much. I asked a question like yours about energy drinks (Are energy drinks okay in moderation?) Because i have a water polo tournament today. Water polo is a hard sport.

They say that you shouldn't drink it like a soda or anything they are meant to be used when your really exerting energy. and they are used to restore mental awareness or wakefullness when experiencing fatigue or drowsiness. The problem is these also contain a lot of caffeine which isn't good for you, I got this off  my answers from my question n google. Don't use it to get high lol, or anything use it if you really have to and your really tired.
