would women's sport get more attention/interest if all their competitors dressed like the volleyballers?

    Yes it would get a lot of interest, but it would be like watching football for the players' hairstyles. That's not sport appreciation.

  7. It's volleyball. It's on a beach. I don't think it should have to be played in bikinis, but someone can take that up with whatever governing volleyball association there is.

  8. Volleyball beach or otherwise is a definite threat to the furthering of women's rights...erm! not! However, if you are making the salient point highlighting the inequities of said sport's ruling body on clothing then well done. Any self respecting feminist is appalled at the way elite women athletes must sexualise themselves whilst competing, or indeed, when attempting to attract sponsorship.  So, you could play beach volleyball in t's and shorts bit hey why not get a cheap bit of titillation in?

  11. The men' s beach volleyball uniforms are nearly identical to the men' s indoor uniforms, but the women' s beach uniforms are much smaller. If there was an advantage to be gained in beach volleyball from smaller uniforms, you'd expect the men to also wear smaller uniforms.
