  1. It depends on your individual situation - but common fertility tests include:

    1) TSH blood test - checks your thyroid function

    2) FSH blood test - usually done around CD3 to check your follicle stimulating horomone.  This gives the doctors an indication of your egg quality and quantity

    3) Progesterone blood test - usually done around CD21 to check whether or not you ovulate and that your progesterone is at a sufficient level to maintain a pregnancy

    4) HSG - this checks the fallopian tube - they insert dye through your tubes and take x-rays to check for blockage.

They may also do ultrasounds to check your ovaries and uterus, make sure that there are no cysts.  Depending on your last check up, they may do an internal exam and pap smear.  Your partner will probably also be asked for a s***n analysis.

    Good luck and baby dust!

  2. I have had a fertilit test and they take your blood to check your hormones.  When i had mine done one of the levels were slightly raised that ruled out i had endometriosis.

They will also probably send you for a scan to check everything and make sure your tubes are ok and there are no cysts.  They may also do a dye test which is done whilst you are awake, it doesnt hurt its to make sure your tubes arnt blocked.  Dont worry this isnt done in a day, all the tests need to be done in order to determine your problem.  Your GP will refer you to a gynae.

Good luck with everything, if you want to know any more mail me, claire_gould49@yahoo.co.uk

    All the best

  3. You will definitely get bloodwork done and depending on what the docs find, they will treat you from that or go in for further procedures.  Your husband will also probably have to do a sperm analysis.  Those are the basics, and beyond that, each person is unique in their needs/procedures.  Goodluck and baby dust to you!!!
