What do geese eat and will my geese just drink from the pond?

geese do NOT eat algae for god's sake algae is POISONOUS!! to fowl!!

Geese will mainly eat grass as the most part of their diet But they should be given some amount of a corn/barley/wheat mix with that and lots of Greens

My geese  have  rolled barley and they LOVE it . .  and have that every morning and fresh greens given every few days

of course they will eat MORE in the winter when grass stops growing . .  

My geese LOVe cabbages and swedes the most =)

and they occasionally get a bit of bread (about once a week) no more then that because bread had no nutritional content what so ever and just fills them up and is full of carbohydrates. . geese actually also eat small rodents, slugs . .  etc

If the water in the pond is FRESH  and CLEAN then yes they  will drink from the pond But if it it green and horrible they won't go near it but if that's all that is available and the water is bad (green with algae) they will drink it and Will KILL them :O

It's ok, but if you provide water at home organise so that your geese will not go far from the pond.

ur geese can eat bread crumbs and plankton and alge so u can just get 1 alge flake and put it in there 1 a week.
