What do horse whisperers?

Horses don't speak English, so they don't understand it. They don't know what you are saying. It not what you say , it's how you say it. It's the fact that they whisper to the horse instead of yelling at it. ( I tell my horse that I'm going to beat her to death if she doesn't stop rubbing on me. After 10 years she has not stopped and I still have not hit her.)

"Horse whisperers" generally communicate with horses using their own language - body language.  Horses are very sensitive to body language, be it from another horse, a person or a predator.

I've used horse whispering techniques myself and they have been very successful.

I guess the "whispering" refers to the fact that you communicte quietly with the animal and do not shout at it.

Interestingly, horse whispering techniques have been successfully used on deer.
